Meet Ms Jara Ben Nagi - MD(Res), MBBS, BSc, FRCOG, DFFP
Consultant Gynaecologist & accredited specialist in Reproductive Medicine
Ms Ben Nagi is a Consultant Gynaecologist and accredited specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, with over 20 years expertise in fertility care and advanced reproductive treatments.

She graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at several leading London teaching hospitals, including King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Alongside her clinical training, Ms Ben Nagi undertook a dedicated two-year research fellowship investigating factors that influence the intrauterine environment and early implantation. This work led to the award of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree from the University of London in 2009. She has published extensively in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, including Human Reproduction, The Lancet Oncology, and Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

In 2013, she was appointed Consultant at a leading fertility centre, where she developed and led specialised programmes including preimplantation genetic testing and surrogacy services. She later served as Medical Director and Person Responsible, working with a multidisciplinary team to enhance clinical outcomes and significantly improve pregnancy success rates within the clinic.

Ms Ben Nagi has extensive experience in the management of couples with infertility, including ovulatory dysfunction, recurrent implantation failure, recurrent miscarriage, poor ovarian reserve and male factor infertility. She also has a particular interest in women considering social egg freezing. Her debate article on social egg freezing attracted significant media attention and resulted in interviews and features across major outlets, including the BBC, Sky News and national newspapers.

She is recognised for her patient-centred approach, combining scientific expertise with personalised care. She leaves no “stone unturned”. Unlike busy fertility clinics where one can see their consultant once or twice during their journey, she will be there for you throughout your journey from consultations, scans and procedures. Ms Ben Nagi is committed to delivering evidence-based treatment and believes in empowering patients through clear discussion of the available options so they can make informed decisions about their fertility journey.

She also believes in being open and clear at all times. If she is ever away due to annual or study leave, you will be informed in advance, so you can make decisions about your care, including whether you prefer to pause treatment.

At Consilium Clinic, the focus is on continuity, expertise, and ensuring you feel supported, informed, and confident throughout your journey.

Our Approach
Care that is personal, consistent, and considered
Our approach is shaped by experience, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing care that feels clear and supportive.
Consultant-led care: Your treatment is guided directly by an experienced specialist in reproductive medicine.
Continuity throughout: You are seen by the same consultant at each stage, allowing for consistent and personalised care.
Clarity and transparency: All options are explained clearly, so you feel informed and confident in your decisions.
Individualised treatment: Every plan is tailored to your specific circumstances, rather than following a standard pathway.
Why choose Consilium Clinic?
Having worked in one of London’s leading fertility clinics and led several fertility programmes, Ms Ben Nagi has seen first-hand how overwhelming and impersonal fertility treatment can sometimes feel.
In many busy clinics, patients may only see their consultant once or twice during their entire journey. It’s not uncommon to meet different doctors, nurses or sonographers at each visit, which can leave people feeling lost, unheard, or as though they are simply being treated as a number. Ms Ben Nagi also recognised that, at times, patients were not always being cared for by consultant gynaecologists who are fully accredited specialists in reproductive medicine.
She felt strongly that this was not the level of care patients deserve.
This is what led her to establish Consilium Clinic, a place where your care is truly personal. From your first consultation through to your treatment, Ms Ben Nagi is directly involved in your care, providing both expert advice and performing your procedures. Her approach is thorough, transparent, and centred around you, with a commitment to exploring every appropriate option together.
