Fertility Assessment

Understanding your fertility, clearly and carefully

A comprehensive assessment designed to explore your reproductive health, identify any potential concerns, and guide the next steps in your care.

Understanding fertility assessment

What is a fertility assessment?

A fertility assessment is often the first step in understanding your reproductive health and exploring the factors that may be affecting conception.

At Consilium Clinic, this is a carefully considered process tailored to your individual circumstances. It may include ultrasound assessment, hormone testing, semen analysis, and further investigations where appropriate, helping to build a clear picture of your fertility health.

Your results will be reviewed in detail with Ms Ben Nagi, who will explain the findings clearly, answer your questions, and discuss the most appropriate next steps for you.

Who it may help

When a fertility assessment may be helpful

A fertility assessment may be appropriate if you have been trying to conceive without success, have experienced recurrent miscarriage, have irregular or absent periods, or would like to better understand your fertility health before planning treatment.

It may also be helpful if you are considering egg freezing, fertility preservation, or wish to explore your reproductive health proactively.

Every patient’s circumstances are different, and investigations will always be recommended thoughtfully and based on your individual needs.

Your assessment

A clear step-by-step approach

Your fertility assessment is designed to provide clarity, reassurance, and a clear understanding of your reproductive health.

Initial consultation

A detailed consultation to understand your medical history, fertility journey, menstrual health, previous investigations, and any concerns or questions you may have.

Ovarian reserve assessment

A gentle internal ultrasound scan, usually performed between day 1 and day 5 of your cycle, to assess your ovaries and count developing follicles, alongside hormone blood tests where appropriate.

Hormone testing

Fertility is a shared journey, and assessing sperm health is an important part of understanding fertility.

Further investigations (if appropriate)

Additional tests such as 3D saline infusion sonography (3D SIS), endometrial assessment, or other investigations may be recommended depending on your history and clinical findings.

Results review and next steps

Once your results are available, Ms Ben Nagi will review everything with you in detail and discuss any recommended treatment or next steps.

Our approach

Care that feels thoughtful and personal

Fertility investigations can feel uncertain and emotionally demanding, particularly when you are searching for answers.

At Consilium Clinic, care is designed to feel personal, clear, and supportive. Investigations are recommended thoughtfully, with time taken to explain why they may be helpful and what the findings may mean for you.

Wherever possible, Ms Ben Nagi remains directly involved in your care, providing continuity and reassurance throughout the process.

Understanding investigations

Some patients may benefit from more detailed investigations depending on their fertility history, symptoms, or previous treatment experience.

These may include:

  • 3D Saline Infusion Sonography (3D SIS)

A specialist scan used to assess the inside of the womb in greater detail and identify any abnormalities that may affect fertility or treatment outcomes.

  • Endometrial health assessment

Where appropriate, further evaluation of the womb lining may be recommended to better understand implantation or reproductive health.

  • Additional male fertility investigations

Further testing may be recommended where semen analysis indicates additional assessment may be helpful.

All recommendations are discussed clearly and based on your individual circumstances.

  • Not necessarily. Some patients simply benefit from reassurance or guidance, while others may wish to explore treatment options depending on the findings.
